I shot images sequentially and had plans to print them in book form but ended up printing a select few in emulsion on tile for the 2009 exhibit ‘The Persistence of Silver’ at West Tampa Center for the Arts.

Coney Island Photo Booth, 2000. This series grew out of a love for the underbelly of 1960’s pop culture, a passion shared with many of my friends. I wanted to populate a fictional boardwalk with failed Ronettes, lonely sailors and would-be Warhol factory denizens. The images were shot in my Florida studio and exhibited as part of the ‘Performances from Photobooth’ festival in Odzaci, Serbia in 2001.

From an untitled, uncompleted series inspired by a love of 1960’s italian horror films (particularly those directed by Mario Bava). This image, as well as several others from the series, features fellow photographer Lori Ballard. Lori’s uncanny resemblance to horror actress Barbara Steele made her the perfect muse for this project.
