Spring
A series of images inspired by 1960’s claymation cartoons, pinup “girlie”art and vintage hollywood publicity photos which often featured starlets in kitschy (sometimes ridiculous) seasonal costumes. These photos were created in 2002 for the “Toy w/Us” exhibition, a show of artist-designed toys curated by Tampa art collective Experimental Skeleton. Several members of the collective are depicted in the hand-colored photographs, which were presented on slide reels in vintage Viewmasters for the 2003 premiere at Covivant Gallery in Tampa, FL.
